From Baltimore, With Love

Black Artist Research Space reflects on the varied forms of Black love and the ways each serves to uphold and support Black community and the quest for liberation. Love is not only limited to romantic form, its reach also spans familial and platonic connections. Imagine the nature of our existence if we emphasized pouring love into every facet and form of relationship we exist in. Love is essentially the ethic and answer as it relates to Black liberation.

Black liberation insists on a foundational love of self and love of Blackness, in all its nuances and forms. Love is how we better ourselves. It’s the means through which we grow, heal and free ourselves.
