Racism in the Arts, the inaugural project of Black Artist Research Space, succinctly outlines the challenges BIPOC creatives face in the art community. The project consists of a series of slides highlighting specific incidents, rooted in white supremacy, that bar BIPOC individuals from collectively elevating in white-run arts spaces. Research for Racism in the Arts emerged from collective lived experience while the evidence of the project’s accuracy resides in the resulting commentary shared and archived from artists and arts administrators across the world.
